Core Web Vitals
Google's set of metrics measuring real-world user experience: loading speed (LCP), interactivity (INP), and visual stability (CLS).
What Is Core Web Vitals?
Core Web Vitals are three specific metrics Google uses to evaluate user experience on web pages. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) measures loading performance—the time until the largest visible element renders (target: under 2.5 seconds). Interaction to Next Paint (INP) measures responsiveness—how quickly the page responds to user interactions (target: under 200ms)
Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) measures visual stability—how much the page layout shifts during loading (target: under 0.1). These metrics are confirmed Google ranking factors and directly impact search visibility.
